Last night, June 3rd, we were able to host an amazing continuing education event with one of our companies we have a great relationship with, Carestream. Our speaker, Dr. Silverman is from New City, NY, and is an attending physician at Westchester County Medical Center, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Nyack Hospital, Department of Dentistry. Dr. Silverman speaks on several different implant systems, and is continually working with and changing dentistry with digital technology. With a great turn out, and interested doctors, Dr. Silverman joined us in our lab to speak to our dentists about advancing the dental practice and understanding digital workflow. Technology is changing and there are many advancements that are happening currently, so with Dr. Silverman’s expertise, Carestream’s technology, and Cornerstone’s digital IQ and team of technicians, we created a great seminar for our dentists to participate in and earn some continuing education credits, not to mention dinner and drinks. 🙂

Our course focused on how digital workflow can help eliminate complications and improve success rates in placement of restorations. It also encourages the collaborative treatment planning between general practitioner, specialist, and even the lab, and how to come up with the best solution for the patient. With today’s digital technology, we are able to have a clear picture of what is the best course of action when it comes to implant placing and restorative dentistry.

We plan on having many more continuing education courses, and we always are looking for ways to engage our dentists and experience Cornerstone Dental Labs, as well as get credits for attending.
