The Digitally Scanned Dental Impression & The Milled CAD/CAM Restoration

In Your Daily Practice: Establishing A Practical Workflow

webinar

We were delighted to host a CE course for our newest additions!  With Goodman Dental Lab coming to Cornerstone, we have had the chance to introduce ourselves to new doctors, and we wanted to show them Cornerstone, enjoy dinner, drinks and conversation, all while getting continuing education credits!

What a great way to welcome our new doctors!

We are so thankful for Dr. Stein to have shared his expertise and experience all the way from Boston through a webinar.  Dr. Stein graduated from Boston University with a B.A. degree in Psychology. He received his D.M.D. degree and completed his post-doctoral specialty training in Prosthodontics at Boston University. Dr. Stein maintains a private practice in Boston, Ma. He is an assistant clinical professor of Prosthodontics at Tufts School of Dental Medicine where he focuses on the clinical integration and research of digital cad/cam dentistry. Dr. Stein has lectured and published both nationally and internationally on restorative, implant and cad/cam dentistry.

Dr. Stein presented how dentists have the opportunity to utilize digital impression technology to provide a higher level of restorative care with greater patient comfort. The program discussed how much less labor intensive and how much more control you can have over anterior and posterior indirect restorations on both natural teeth and implants. Dr. Stein also touched on the decision regarding  whether a “stand alone” digital impression scanner or one with a design center and cad/cam mill would be more appropriate for dental practices.  With question and answers sessions, our dentists were able to converse about what was working in their practice and how they could utilize digital to make them more profitable, technologically advanced and how it could help their patients.

We enjoyed meeting our new dentists, talking and learning about future possibilities and of course our educational opportunity from Dr. James Stein.  We look forward to doing many more events like this one in 2015!
